I've always hated people who were born into millions but haven't really done anything to earn the term 'celebrity' like Paris Hilton. She got famous by making a sex tape and is now paid to party and can afford to buy anything by doing nothing all day.

Why does it annoy me so much? Because I'm jealous. Not of her squashed faced or dull sense of humour but the fact that I have worked hard to get into college and I will have to work ten times harder to get into university and who knows if I’ll even have a job when I leave university after my years of hard work, and then people like her have travelled the world, accomplished quite a lot all because their Daddy hit the jackpot.

One thing I (and every other teenager who has to work hard) will achieve is respect from others and to know that you did it and can be proud - no one can take that away from you. It also makes you who you are. The only pride Paris Hilton can feel is for getting out of jail early. Sometimes I wish I had it easy as her but I know in the end I can smile and say ‘I did it’.
